4th place is how we finished at the Varsity Greater Metro Conference Outdoor Championships on Tuesday. The highlight of the meet was the 3200 Meter Relay of Finola Hughes, Millie Bretl, Morgan Miller and Meghan Scott placing 2nd and establishing a new school record. They also broke the existing conference record but Sussex Hamilton placed 1st and will hold the record. Katie Wissing won 4 All-Conference medals by placing 1st in the Triple Jump and 800 Meter Relay (with Ellie Gral, Kari Borowski and Yadiah Stallworth), and 3rd in the Long Jump and 400 Meter Relay (with the same runners as the 800 Meter Relay). YaYa won the 100 Meter Dash for the 2nd year in a row and walked away with 3 All-Conference medals. Also receiving All-Conference honors were Meghan Scott placing 3rd in the 1600 Meter Run and Crystal Bell throwing for 3rd place in the Discus (1st All-Conference honor in Throws in over 10 years). We placed 3rd at the JV GMC Outdoor Championships on Saturday. It turned out to be a beautiful day after morning showers. It's tough to beat the Brookfield schools but we made them earn every point they got. Sarah Crosby won the Long Jump and Adonia Barbiere won the 100 Meter High Hurdles. Nice effort by all our JV Track and Field athletes who finished their season on a high note! Complete Results HERE: JV Conference Outdoor
